Lamanon

Lamanon is a commune with 1823 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Geography

The municipality is located in the north of the department of Bouches -du -Rhône seven kilometers north of Salon-de -Provence. It lies on the edge of the Alpilles and is part of the Regional Park Alpilles.

History

North of the present site is an archaeological site of prehistoric and medieval offices. Complement the surroundings of here Caves Calès were inhabited until the 16th century. Economy and infrastructure

Through the village leads the D17, which connects it with the neighboring resorts Eyguières and Mallemort.
