Lamballe
Lamballe ( Lambal in Breton, Lanball on Gallo ) is a commune with 12,292 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Côtes- d'Armor in the Brittany region; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint- Brieuc and Lamballe Canton. The town is crossed by the river Gouessant.
History
On 1 January 1973, places Lamballe, Maroué, La Poterie, Saint- Aaron and Trégomar grouped together for new community Lamballe.
