Lambert Heinrich von Babo

Lambert Heinrich Clemens von Babo ( born November 25, 1818 in Ladenburg / Neckar, † April 15, 1899 in Karlsruhe ) was a German chemist.

Life

Babo was the son of Joseph agronomists Lambert von Babo and his first wife Karoline Ehrmann. The viticulture scientists August Wilhelm von Babo was his half brother. After graduation Babo studied from 1837 at the Universities of Heidelberg and Munich Medicine and graduated in 1842 with a doctorate from Heidelberg. The following year, he began to study in Giessen Justus von Liebig in chemistry and completed this study in 1845 in Freiburg im Breisgau with his habilitation.

Work
