Lamé (fabric)

Lamé referred lightweight fabrics that contain metal threads in the weft: In contrast to the brocade metallic threads are usually at greater distances in a base fabric such as Taft entered. In the chain of silk or cotton is usually used. Use will, inter alia, Lamé for festive women's clothing. Also fine metal threads themselves are called Lamé.
