Lamedon (mythology)

Lamedon ( gr Λαμέδων ), the son of Koronos, was in Greek mythology, the younger brother of Korax. After the death of Epopeus he ascended the throne of Sicyon and gave Antiope, who was staying at Epopeus, on the Lycus, king of Thebes, thus preventing a debate on this.

Lamedon married Pheno, the daughter of Clytius, from Athens, and begat with her the Zeuxippe. When it came to war with Archandros and Archi Teles, the sons of Achaeus, Sicyon from Attica supported him. Sicyon married Zeuxippe and entered after the death of Lamedon to the control of the country.

Eusebius of Caesarea writes Lamedon to 40 years of rule.
