Lamine Traoré

Lamine Traoré ( born June 10, 1982 in Upper Volta, now Burkina Faso) is a football player from the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

Career

He began his career in the youth academy Planète Champion Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso's capital, and in 1999 moved to Belgium to RSC Anderlecht. There he could be in central defense never establish himself as a regular player but won the Belgian championship three times. From 2006 to 2009 he played in Gençlerbirliği in Turkey. Since then, he has not played a competitive match.

Traoré played for the Burkina Faso national football team and participated in the African Championships in 2002 and 2004.
