History

The Samtgemeinde Lamspringe created on July 1, 1965 from the former municipalities spots Lamspringe, Evensen, Graste, nets, Harbarnsen, Irmenseul, Woltershausen and Wöllersheim. 1972 joins the community Neuhof, and in 1974 the church Sehlem is affiliated.

The coat of arms of the velvet municipality was established in 1989.

Description: Gold five cross-shaped red leaves.

Reason: The five leaves symbolize the equality of member communities and point to the wooded area. The colors red and gold stand for the former belonging to the Bishopric of Hildesheim. The cross shape is reminiscent of the historical significance of the monastery Lamspringe for the area of ​​today's integrated municipality.
