LAN Perú

Lima airport

LAN Perú is a Peruvian airline based in Lima and based on the Jorge Chávez International Airport. It is a subsidiary of Chile's LAN Airlines.

History

The airline was founded in July 1998 and started on 2 July 1999 the domestic flights from Lima airport to the airports in Cusco and Arequipa. After the withdrawal of Aeroperú, Faucett Perú and other companies there was when put into the LAN Perú first time a large national carrier in the country. International air traffic was recorded on 15 November 1999 with the start of the connection to Miami. In September 2002 LAN Perú became a subsidiary of Chilean LAN Airlines, which is now 49% of the Company, will be 30 % owned by ER Larraín, another 21 % belong Inversiones Aereas.

Destinations

LAN Perú operates in addition to numerous destinations inside of Peru such as Cusco and Iquitos several destinations in North and South America as Bogotá and Los Angeles as well as in long-haul traffic as currently only goal Madrid.
