Lancaster County (Nebraska)

Lancaster County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lincoln, named after President Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln is also the capital of Nebraska.

Geography

The County is located in southeastern Nebraska, is in the east about 55 miles from Iowa and Missouri, located in the south about 50 miles from Kansas and has an area of ​​2193 square kilometers, of which 20 square kilometers are water surface. Lancaster County was formed in 1854. It was named after the city of Lancaster in Pennsylvania.
