Lance David Arnold

Lance David Arnold ( born June 8, 1986 in Duisburg ) is a German racing driver.

Sporting career

He began his motorsport career in 2000 with the karting. In 2002 he drove in Formula BMW. After he denied 2003 slalom race, he moved to the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup 2004. There he was the best rookie, which he recommended for the following season for the UPS Porsche Junior Team.

In 2005 he finished fifth championship course in his first year in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, and was also here again the best newcomer. In addition, he played half a season in the Porsche Supercup. In 2006 he finished seventh in the Porsche Carrera Cup and again took part in a half- season in the Porsche Supercup. He also took first in the race of the BFGoodrich Endurance Championship part.

At the end of the 2007 season he left the UPS Porsche Junior Team and retired so for the time being from the Porsche one-make cups back. However, in 2008, he returned after a half season. He also took part in the 24 - hour race at Daytona and drove a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in the Italian GT Championship. In a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup fielded by Manthey Racing, he competed in the 24- hour race at the Nürburgring and finished eighth. With Frank Stippler he drove a race of the ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring, which he won.

In 2009 he won in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S Mamerow Racing our first race of the BFGoodrich Endurance Championship. Also in 2009, he finished the 24 -hour race at the Nürburgring in the team of Uwe Alzen Porsche 911 GT3 Cup fourth place.

Most recently, he took a very tight third place at the 40th 24 -hour race at the Nürburgring in 2012 Hankook Team Heico on a Mercedes -Benz SLS AMG GT3. A large portion of luck helped him: One round earlier he was only a few seconds behind the Porsche 911 GT3 R of the team " Wochenspiegel Team Manthey ".
