Lancelot Royle

Lancelot Royle (Sir Lancelot Carrington " Lance " Royle; born May 31, 1898 London Borough of Barnet, † June 19, 1978 in London) was a British sprinter.

At the Olympic Games 1924 in Prais, he won the British team silver in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. About 100 meters he reached the quarter-finals.

As a manager, he headed to his athletic career, among others, the retail chain The Home and Colonial Stores. In 1944 he was appointed Knight Commander (KBE ).
