The Stade de Genève in Lancy

Lancy is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland.

With 29,550 inhabitants (as of November 30, 2013 ) is a population Lancy the third largest city in the canton. Lancy is located south of the Rhone river and consists of the two parts of the city Grand -Lancy and Onex. The Stade de Genève, one of the venues for the European football championship in 2008, is located in the municipality of Lancy.

The neighboring municipalities are Onex, Plan-les- Ouates, Carouge and the City of Geneva.

Lancy is the seat of the construction company Induni.

Traffic

In the Lancy Geneva Trolleybus by the transport company Transports Publics Genevois (TPG ) is driven wrong. In addition, Lancy is located on the railway line Geneva -Cornavin Geneva - La Praille, which will be extended to 2017 as CEVA to Annemasse. Since 2002, the trunk is used also in the passenger when the stop Lancy Pont- Rouge put into operation, which establishes the connection to the Lancys Swiss railway network.
