Land Rover Aqaba Assembly Plant
The Land Rover Ma'an Assembly Plant Co., Ltd.. is a company founded on October 2000 joint venture between the Land Rover brand with the Shahin Group. The company's headquarters is located in the industrial area of the city of Ma'an in the Kingdom of Jordan. For the construction of the plant a total of $ 100 million was applied. Over 1,000 workers are employed there ever since. Production per year leave in about 5000 vehicles factory halls.
The work began in late 2004. The first products of the Defender and the Discovery were assembled. The components of the Defender be obtained from the English manufacturing plant in Solihull. For the distribution of the vehicles left the plant 's responsibility. In Jordan, the vehicles are sold through channel partners Ole Jordan and Mahmoudia engine. In the other countries of the Middle East, sales via the Land Rover Customer Relationship Centre in Dubai is controlled.
