Landegode Lighthouse

Landegode fyr or Landego fyr is a lighthouse on the coast of Norway at Bodø, Nordland. The lighthouse is on the skerry Egglesøya, just north of the eponymous island Landegode ( Landego ). The lighthouse and the lighthouse keeper's house was built in 1901. 1902, the lighthouse was put into operation. The 29 -meter-high, round lighthouse is made of cast iron.

1936 more homes were built around the lighthouse. In the same year, a fog horn was installed in the lighthouse. In 1993 the lighthouse was converted to automatic operation and has since been unmanned. Since 1994 a hotel is operated in the houses belonging to the lighthouse.

The ships of the Hurtigruten happen on the trip to the north of the lighthouse Landegode shortly after departing from Bodø.
