Landesgericht (Germany)

As a state court referred to § 154 GVG each state court whose carriers are not the federal government, but one or more of the sixteen states of the Federal Republic of Germany. In jurisprudential parlance, these dishes are in the plural, usually referred to as courts of the Länder. Antonym is that of the Federal Court.

According to Article 92 of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany, the judicial power is exercised by the Federal Constitutional Court and other federal courts enumerated in the Constitution, and the remainder by the courts of the countries.

Courts of the country are:

  • For the ordinary jurisdiction of the Courts of Appeal (except in cases where they act as federal courts in exceptional cases ), which, county courts and local courts
  • For the work of justice, the state labor courts and labor courts,
  • Of administrative justice, the High Administrative Courts and Administrative Courts,
  • For social justice, the country's social courts and social courts
  • For the financial jurisdiction of the Tax Court.
  • For the constitutional jurisdiction the state constitution courts.
