Landgravine Friederike of Hesse-Darmstadt
Friederike Caroline Luise of Hesse- Darmstadt (* August 20, 1752 in Darmstadt, † May 22, 1782 in Hannover) was by marriage Duchess of Mecklenburg -Strelitz, and the mother of the Prussian Queen Luise.
Life
Friederike was a daughter of Prince Georg Wilhelm of Hesse- Darmstadt (1722-1782) from his marriage to Louise (1729-1818), daughter of Count Christian Karl Reinhard of Leiningen- Dabo.
She married on 18 September 1768 in Darmstadt Duke Charles of Mecklenburg -Strelitz ( 1741-1816 ), who served at that time as governor of King George in Hanover.
Friederike died 29 years old at the consequences of giving birth to her tenth child.
