The country team is the German Association of Lithuania, a displaced Association. The country club is a member of the Federation of displaced persons ( BdV ), National Chairman is now Hardy Mett. The country team of Germans from Lithuania is organized in various state associations. The country club of the German was founded in Lithuania in 1951 and soon had well over 10,000 members. Today, the number has declined significantly and is still at just under 1,000.

History

While the displaced persons from Latvia and Estonia are organized in the German -Baltic society, the displaced chose from Lithuania for their own association. This goes back to historically-based cultural differences.
