The Association of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany e V. represents the interests of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany. Seat of the nonprofit association is Munich. The external representation is up to the national chairman, who is elected for a term of four years by delegates to the Association days. The association is a member of the Federation of displaced persons ( BdV ) and sees itself as representing the interests the come as a result of the expulsion after the Second World War and the further political changes Germany after members of the ethnic group of the Transylvanian Saxons. History

On 26 June 1946, in Munich, the Association of the Transylvanian Saxons and Banat Swabians in Germany, who renamed himself on February 11, 1950 in Association of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany after the Banat Swabians had founded their own association. Re renaming took place on May 15, 1950 for " Country Team of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany eV" and on 4 November 2007 on the current Association of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany. Official publication of the Association is the Transylvanian newspaper published in Munich since June 1950 ( when printing ). General access is an online edition under www.siebenbuerger.de. For 60.jährigen anniversary all previously released 60 years courses have been digitized and are generally available for online research.
