Lanfear (band)

Lanfear is a South German power metal band that was founded in 1993 and has released six albums.

Band History

In summer 1994, Lanfear recorded a self-titled demo CD. 1995 Kramer left Nico and Kai Schindelar the band, the latter returned two years later back again. In the meantime, Alexander Palma was required as a bass player. The debut CD Towers was first released in 1996 on their own, a year later, a re-release under the name Towers of February at Urwerk Records.

In summer 1999, followed by the second album Zero Poems, which received very good reviews in the trade press. 2000, vocalist and keyboard player Stefen Zoerner the band as a replacement came Richie Seibel (keyboard) and Tobias Althammer (vocals ). 2003 CD The Art Effect was published.

The fourth album by Lanfear, Another Golden Rage is from the year 2005. The last two CDs were released through a license agreement with Nightmare Records in the USA.

In early 2006, the band parted by Tobias Althammer, as the new singer Nuno Miguel de Barros Fernandes was committed. The fifth studio album X to the Power of Ten was released on 22 August 2008 via Locomotive Records in Europe and on September 9th in North America. The sixth album This Harmonic Consonance appeared on 24 February 2012 via Pure Steel / Pure Legend Records.
