Langstrasse

The long road is a road that connects the Zurich District 4 with the circle 5. It begins near the District Court and leads north- northeast. After the underpass under the railway tracks of the Zurich main station follows a shorter part of the Lang Street in district 5 (Quartier trade school ) and ends on Limmatplatz.

Places

The Helvetia Square, adjacent to the Long Street is known primarily for demonstrations on May 1, and against the World Economic Forum, but is also used for festivals and markets. Nearby is the area with the schoolhouse, " law firm ". Parts of the area are now used for cultural events and used by Kino Xenix.

On the long road in District 4 has been around since 2009, " Piazza Cella ", named after Erminia Cella, who with her husband Enrico Dezza the restaurant Cooperativo led to the military road 36 from 1935 to 1952.

The Limmatplatz in district 5, at the north end of the long street, with the tower of the Migros Group is historically dominated by the action of the Migros founder Gottlieb Duttweiler. Today the place serves primarily as a transfer station.
