Laning
Laning ( German: Lanningen ) is a commune of 556 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Forbach and Canton Grostenquin.
Geography
The village is located in the northeast of Lorraine, about seven kilometers south-east of Saint- Avold.
History
The place was first mentioned in 1365 as Laendingen. To 1441 the place was called Laningen.
