Lanny Poffo
Lanny Poffo Mark ( born December 28, 1954 in Calgary, Alberta), better known as " Leaping " Lanny and The Genius is a kanadischstämminger American professional wrestler and poet. He has an adult daughter with his ex-wife and currently lives in Largo, Florida.

Career
Youth / beginnings
Poffo was born as the son of Italian-American wrestler Angelo Poffo and Judy, an American Jew. He grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois, and is the brother of "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Lanny Poffo made his debut in 1972. He initially joined in various territories of the National Wrestling Alliance ( NWA ) and could win some titles there.
International Championship Wrestling / World Wrestling Federation
End of 1970er/Anfang 1980 he went to his father at International Championship Wrestling at (ICW ), which also belonged at that time to the NWA. In the World Wrestling Federation, he was used as a jobber until he called " The Genius " played the manager of Curt Hennig and the Beverly Brothers. Together with Curt Hennig, he had a feud with Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake. In this context, he could defeat Hulk Hogan. He then appeared on the talk shows Live with Regis and Kathie Lee and The Jonathan Ross Show. After his move to World Championship Wrestling in 1995, where he was never used, he ended his wrestling career.
Both as " Leaping " Lanny Poffo and as "The Genius " wrote poems and he quoted before the match. Lanny Poffo is still active as an independent wrestler today. In 2005, he appeared at a Wrestle Reunion show in Tampa, Florida and defeated there, " The Royal Stud" Adam Windsor.
After wrestling career
Poffo has published several volumes of poetry and limericks, most deal with drug and alcohol dependence, which are aimed primarily at children and young people. Poffo is also anti -smoking and has a book entitled Limericks from the Heart and Lungs! published on this subject. He now works as a debt counselor and motivational speaker.
Unlike his brother Randy Poffo Savage has remained a good relationship with World Wrestling Entertainment. In 2007 he wrote a poem for the "Battle of the Billionaires " between Vince McMahon and Donald Trump at WrestleMania 23
