Lao Lishi

Lao Lishi (Chinese劳丽 诗/劳丽 诗, Pinyin Lao Lishi, Jyutping Lou4 Lai6 Si1; born December 12, 1987 in Zhanjiang ) is a former Chinese diver. She once took part in the Olympic Games, winning two medals.

2002 Lao won the gold medal in platform diving at the Asian Games. With the World Swimming Championships in 2003, she won the gold medal in synchronized diving. At the age of 17 years, Lao Lishi took part in Athens at the 2004 Summer Olympics. There she started in single and synchronous competition from the tower. In individual competition Lao won with 576.30 points behind the Australian Chantelle Newbery ( 590.31 points ) and before their country woman Loudy Tourky ( 561.66 points), the silver medal. In synchronized competition Lao Lishi launched together with Li Ting. The two won with 352.14 points, ahead of the Russians Natalia Goncharova and Julia Koltunowa ( 340.92 points) and Blythe Hartley and Emilie Heymans of Canada ( 327.78 points) the gold medal.
