Lapinlahti

Lapinlahti [ lɑpinlɑhti ] (Swedish Lapinlax ) is a municipality in the Finnish Savo region, with 10,292 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012). It is 24 kilometers south of the city Iisalmi and 60 kilometers north of Kuopio in the countryside Savo.

Geography

The Onkivesi Lake divides the community into a western and an eastern part. Dominant political force in Lapinlahti is the rural - liberal center party.
