Lappeenrannan NMKY

Lappeenrannan NMKY is a Finnish basketball club from Lappeenranta. He was twice Finnish champions and Cup winners four times.

History

The club was founded in 1951 as a basketball Lappeenranta 1951.

The team celebrated in the years 2005 and 2006, two doubles, consisting of league and cup in a row. 2007 and 2008 yet was followed by two more cup wins.

LrNMKY as the club is called, achieved in the 2005/06 season in the FIBA EuroCup Challenge the semi-finals, where they lost Chimik Juschne. For a Finnish team, this was still a huge success.

The club plays its home games in the Lappeenrannan from Urheilutalo.
