Larisa Petrik

Larissa Petrik ( born August 18, 1949) is a former Belarusian gymnast, who took for the Soviet Union.

She won at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City the gold medal on floor with an overall score of 19.675 points and was on a par with the Czech Věra Čáslavská. On balance beam, she won bronze behind Natalija Kutschinskaja and Čáslavská. Together with Kutschinskaja she won in the Soviet team gold medal in the team standings.

In the gymnastics world championships 1966 in Dortmund Petrik won the team silver behind the Czech team in the individual competition, she was on balance beam third parties. Also at the World Cup 1970 in Ljubljana, she was third on the balance beam. With the team, she won the world title.

She is a trainer and choreographer for many years and trained actress. Today she lives with her husband Viktor Klimenko (winner on Pommel Horse 1972 Olympics Munich), their sons Vladimir, who is also a successful and Victor Turner ( ballet dancer), daughter in law and granddaughter in Idar -Oberstein ( Rhineland -Palatinate).
