Larry Cohen

Larry Cohen ( born July 15, 1938 in New York, USA) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter.

Life and work

He studied film at the City College of New York, from which he graduated in 1963. His film career began in Cohen as a screenwriter for television, where he worked for various television series. Later he turned some cheap horror films, and began to work as a scriptwriter for cinema production. His directorial debut was in 1972 with Bone. For his own films, he also wrote the screenplays. The 1967-1968 produced television series The Invaders comes from his idea and he wrote the screenplays.

1988 Fantasy & Horror Films of George Pal Memorial Award he received from the Academy of Science Fiction, awarded. In 2012, he turned with " Delusions " a thriller that was kept secret until recently by the distributor " Terror in the Aisles ". The film premiered on 3 May 2012 its U.S. premiere at The Portage Theater in Chicago, Illinois.

Larry Cohen is married for the second time and is the father of five children.
