Larry DePalma

Lawrence Edward DePalma ( born October 27, 1965 in Trenton, Michigan ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Minnesota North Stars, San Jose Sharks and Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.

Career

DePalma played for two years from 1984 to 1986 in the Western Hockey League with the New Westminster Bruins and Saskatoon Blades. After a successful last season in the WHL with 112 points in 65 games, he was elected to the East Second All-Star Team.

Even before the 1985/86 season, the Minnesota North Stars of the National Hockey League had him the ungedrafteten Americans under contract and put him to the end of the season 1990/91 both in the NHL and in their farm team in the International Hockey League and American Hockey League. Overall DePalma played 121 NHL games for the North Stars, before he signed a contract with the San Jose Sharks newly founded as a free agent. There he came in the following two seasons, mostly in the farm team for the Kansas City Blades for use with which he could the Turner Cup, the championship of the IHL win, at the end of the 1991/92 season. For the Sharks even he ran in 20 NHL games. In November 1993, he then moved to the New York Islanders but for which he completed not a single NHL game. About the waiver list took him in March 1994, the Pittsburgh Penguins on in their team. The Penguins left winger played the end of the 1993/94 season his last seven NHL games. As a result, he came only in the International Hockey League action, and ended his career after the 1996 / 97th
