Larry Fine

Larry Fine (aka Louis Feinberg, born October 5, 1902 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, † January 24, 1975 in Woodland Hills, California ) was an American comedian and actor. He was at times a member of the comedy troupe The Three Stooges.

Life

Larry Fine's parents, Fanny (nee Lieberman ) and Joseph Feinberg, had a watch and jewelry shop. Fine, who had two brothers and a sister, etched as a child 's arm with acid, which used his father as a jeweler. On the advice of doctors Fine began playing the violin in order to train his damaged arm muscles. He showed talent and eventually went to local theaters as a violinist. Also boxing in the weight class flyweight he earned some money to do so. He eventually became a member of the Three Stooges, who regularly stood for a series of short films from Columbia Pictures from 1934 before the camera. Even in films such as I dance for you (1933 ) with Joan Crawford and Clark Gable, they performed together as a comedian. These were followed by numerous joint live and television appearances.

Fine had with his wife Mable, who died in 1967, daughter Phyllis and son Johnny, who came in 1961 at the age of 24 in a car accident. During the filming of Kook 's Tour in 1970, Fine suffered a stroke and became henceforth no longer as a comedian. He died in 1975 at the age of 73 years.
