Larry King

Larry King ( born November 19, 1933, Brooklyn, New York; actually Lawrence Harvey pointer ) is an American journalist. From 1985 to 2010 he went with his talk show Larry King Live at the U.S. news channel CNN almost daily on the air. His last program was broadcast on 16 December 2010, guests were in it - in live circuit - several former U.S. presidents.

Life and career

King was born the son of a Jewish immigrant family, his father was Austrian and his mother was originally from Belarus. When he was nine years old, his father died. His mother worked as a seamstress then in " sweatshops " in New York. The family was on welfare. King never went to college - after the poor completion of high school he suggested initially by a casual basis. At 22, King moved from Brooklyn to Florida.

In 1957 he began working as a DJ at the radio station " TRUE" in Miami Beach. Since the name of the head of the radio station was too heavy, he looked for a more appropriate. On the table was a newspaper with an advertisement of "King 's Liquor ". Spontaneous called him the boss Larry King, since he used this name himself.
