Lars Bock

Lars Bock ( born January 2, 1955 in Frederiksberg) is a former Danish handball player.

Career

Bock played at Frederiksberg IF ( short FIF). After he caught the attention of Gert -Hinrich Reese, the former league chairman of the German handball Bundesliga THW Kiel at the World Cup in 1974, this could convince the 1.90 meter back player to change the first foreign players to the Kiel Fjord. Lars Bock felt, however, in Kiel not well, in addition to dissatisfaction with his professional job as a lifeguard, he was homesick, so he left the THW after half a year and returned to FIF. He played eight games for the zebras, in which he scored 20 goals. From the summer of 1975 he played for three years at the Swedish club Helsingborg Olympia, and then in his native Denmark in Holte. Because of knee problems had to end his career at the age of 26 years Bock.

His international debut for the Danish national team gave Lars Bock on 22 November 1973 against the GDR. In 79 games, he scored 178 goals and took with Denmark at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal in part.

His father played football at Ove B.93 Copenhagen.
