Lars Christensen Peak

BWf1

The Lars Christensen Peak or Norwegian Lars Christensentoppen, is the highest point (1755 m ) on the Peter I Island off the coast of Antarctica.

The summit is a shield volcano. It is not known whether it is expired or not, since the upper part was apparently not modified by freezing.

It is named Lars Christensen, owner of the vessel the SS Odd I, a whaler to sail around the island in January 1927.
