Lars-Erik Larsson

Lars -Erik Larsson ( born May 15, 1908 in Åkarp, community Burlöv, Sweden, † December 27, 1986 in Helsingborg) was a Swedish composer, conductor and music teacher.

Life

Lars -Erik Larsson studied music at the Royal College of Music Stockholm from 1925 to 1929, including at Ernst Henrik Ellberg. He continued his studies with Alban Berg in Vienna. From 1937 to 1954 he worked regularly as a conductor, composer and producer at Swedish Radio. He was professor of composition at the Stockholm School of Music in 1947 until 1959. As musical director at Uppsala University he worked from 1961 until 1965.
