Lars-Erik Spets

Lars -Erik Spets ( born April 2, 1985 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian ice hockey player who is under contract with the Lørenskog IK in the GET ligaen since 2010.

Career

Spets began his hockey career in the youth of the Norwegian first division Lillehammer IHK. At the age of 17, he debuted in the first team, with whom he henceforth in the highest Norwegian league, the GET ligaen to fight the points. The trained striker was used in his first season for the CCI 30 times and was able to achieve 30 points scorer, as well as have a plus / minus stats by 14. After he developed with his hometown club into one of the top performers and his points yield increased continuously, he joined the 2004/05 season the league rivals Trondheim IK. Spets could increase again and forced as top scorer of the GET ligaen a change in a stronger European league.

Then some clubs from the Swedish Elitserien were aware of him. Finally, there were the leaders of the Brynäs IF that convinced him of a commitment in Sweden. His first season there, however, not been very successful. He completed a total of 50 games for his new employer and was able to achieve only seven points scorer. His plus / minus statistic was rather unhappy with -10. Spets was then isolated active also for the U-20 team of the club. At the end of the 2007 /08 signed a contract with the foxes Spets Duisburg in the German Ice Hockey League. At the start of the following season Spets was no longer licensed for the cadre of foxes.

In summer 2008, he moved back to his native Norway and joined there the record champions Vålerenga Ishockey on, with which he in 2009 initially for the first time in his career, won the Norwegian league title in 2010 and was runner-up. In both seasons, he could personally excel. In the 2008 /09 season he was voted playoff MVP and 2010 he had the best plus / minus balance the GET ligaen on. Since the season 2010/11 the national team for the Lørenskog IK stands on the ice.

Internationally

For Norway Spets took at junior level at the Under-18 Junior World Cup 2002, the U18 Junior B World Cup 2003 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005 in part. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the B World Cup 2005 and the A World Championships in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Moreover, he argued for Norway at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
