Lars Feld

Lars P. Feld, Lars Peter Field, ( born August 9, 1966 in Saarbrücken) is head of the Walter Eucken Institute, Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Freiburg and one of the five farming practices.

Life

In 1985, he put the Abitur at Illtalgymnasium in Illingen from. After the diploma examination in 1993 for economists at the University of the Saarland, he earned his doctorate in 1999 for Dr. oec. at the University of St. Gallen. In 2002 he habilitated in economics teaching.

From 2002 to 2005 he was a visiting professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Rennes I. He was also a 2002-2006 C4 - Professor of Economics with a focus on finance at the University of Marburg and since 2002 Associate Professor of Economics at the University of St. Gallen.

From 2006 to 2010 he was the owner of the Department of Finance at the Ruprecht -Karls- University of Heidelberg. At the same time he took in 2006 a research professor at the Centre for European Economic Research ( ZEW) in Mannheim true. In addition, since 2007 he has permanent visiting professor at the Centre for European Economic Research ( ZEW), Mannheim. Since September 2010 he has been director of the Walter Eucken Institute and Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Freiburg.

Field is married and father of three sons.

Positions

Field represents a total of ordo-liberal positions, consists therefore of a social market economy, competition and a strong but lean state.
