Lars Haugen

Lars Haugen ( born March 19, 1987 in Oslo) is a Norwegian ice hockey goaltender, who has a contract with HC Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League since 2011.

Career

Lars Haugen began his career as a hockey player in the junior department Manglerud Star, in which he was active until 2004. He then played two years in the youth department of Leksand IF in Sweden. From 2006 to 2009 the goalkeeper ran parallel to the first team of Sparta Sarpsborg in the GET ligaen and the second team in the second class 1 divisjon. From 2009 to 2011, he was a regular goalkeeper for Lørenskog IK in the GET ligaen, where he was on loan for the majority of the 2010/11 season at his former club Manglerud Star.

For the 2011/12 season Haugen was obliged by HC Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League, but initially loaned to HK Schachzjor Salihorsk from the Belarusian Extraliga.

Internationally

For Norway, Haugen took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2004 and the U18 Junior B World Cup 2005 and the Under-20 Junior World Cup in 2006 at junior level. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Cup 2011. During his seven missions he was able to convince with a catch rate of 92.6 percent and a Gegentorschnitt of 2.70 goals per game. In the tournament, he was voted one of the top three players in Norway.
