Lars Leiro

Lars Leiro ( born April 13, 1914 in House, Hordaland, † 22 March 2005) was a Norwegian politician and landowner.

Political career

Leiro was 1956-1958 Mayor of Voss. Between 1958 and 1969 he represented the Fylke Hordaland in the Storting. In the government Lyng he was Transport Minister in 1963. Leiro 1965 Group Chairman for the Senterpartiet in the Storting; at this time he has held the office of vice chairman of the party ( 1961-1969 ). In 1966 he was Fylkesmann for Bergen and Hordaland. Lars Leiro, commander of the St. Olav's Order was, went in 1984 in Pension.
