Lars Nieberg

Lars Nieberg ( born July 24, 1963 in Witt rings ) is a successful German show jumper.

Early years

Nieberg began to ride with six years on the family horse farm. In 1980, he began his apprenticeship as a heater during the later national coach of the German show jumping, Herbert Meyer. After a one-year stopover in the stable of Paul Schockemoehle he went to Hamburg in the stable of Ahaz of Buchwaldt, where he worked as a maker until 1990. As a result, he went to mediation by Herbert Meyer to Hesse, where he recorded a maker activity in the stud Wäldershausen. In April 1994 he also took over the stud line here.

Reiter career

Niebergs international career began in 1990. Middle of the 1990s, he reached the top. After he left in 2005 and 2006 horses from the sport, injuries led the remaining sport horses to the fact that there were several setbacks in Niebergs career.

Once again he was increasingly seen tournament successes in 2009, the owner of the stud Wäldershausen in October 2009 announced that he would withdraw from the equestrian sport. April 1, 2010 Lars Nieberg leased then the stud Wäldershausen and reduced for economic reasons, the horse population from 70 to about 30 horses. The formerly ridden by Nieberg stallion Giorgio, who is verpachtetet to Hungary, Nieberg wants to bring back for breeding.

In January 2013 he was elected a deputy of the active speaker in show jumping.

To March 1, 2013 Nieberg took over from Kurt Grave Meier as Head of Good Berl. On the estate of Hendrik Snoek he cared breeding, raising and training of young horses, he trains beside the horsemen of the goods, by Katrin Eckermann. The stud Wäldershausen is reduced in return, Nieberg will be based in Münster.

World ranking and squad membership

Lars Nieberg was in May 2011 in the 124th world ranking of FEI on 38th Until November 2011, he slipped to rank 61. He was awarded the Silver Laurel Journal.

Since January 2014 Nieberg is a member of the German Championship cadre ( A-team ) Jumping. This he was formerly Head of the beginning of 2011 until February 2012.

Lars Nieberg is married, wife Gitta also rode internationally successful jumping horses and forms. Nieberg is the father of two sons, both of which also start at jumping up to advanced level. Both complete their maker apprenticeship in with her father.
