Lasam

Lasam is a town in the Philippine province of Cagayan and founded in 1950. In 2010 lived in the 234 km ² area 36,994 people, resulting in a population density of 158 inhabitants per km ². The terrain in the valley of Cagayan is very flat in contrast to the south and north of the municipal territory, where it partially rises to over 150 m. In the west, the municipality borders the province of Apayao. A major educational institution in the community is the Cagayan State University.
