Lasel

Lasel is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Prüm.

Geography

Lasel lies on the River Nims in the Eifel mountains at an altitude of 350 m above sea level. NN.

To Lasel includes the residential places Birkenhof, Hontheim and Steinbachhof.

Lasel bordered (clockwise ) to the local communities Nimsreuland, Wawern, Nimshuscheid, fire Scheid, Lascheid and Heisdorf.

History

In some cases, the village belonged to the farm in 1268 Seffern and partly to tithe area Reuland. 1684 included the town under the name Lassel four fireplaces.

Only after the French invasion Lasel grew up together. As of 1798, the management of the Mairie Burbach, Arrondissement Prüm was taken. Since 1816 Lasel belonged to the circle of Prüm and since 1971 for the district of Bitburg -Prüm.

Parish council

The local council in Lasel consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Church

Already in 1346, a chapel in connection to a drain of Pope Clement VI. mentioned.

After 1802, the parishes were reorganized under Napoleon. Lasel becomes the new parish with the branches Wawern, Huscheid and fire Scheid. 1885, a new neo-Gothic hall church (Saint Helena and Holy Apostle Matthias ) was built and completed in 1896.
