Lassana Diarra ( born March 10, 1985 in Paris ), also called short passage, is a French football player. He mainly plays as a defensive midfielder.
Club career
Diarra started his career at Le Havre AC, where he quickly made a name for himself as a defensive midfielder. Through consistent and good and he made the jump to the French U-21 national team. Accordingly, soon other clubs were aware of him. In July 2005, he spent four million euros to Chelsea.
In Chelsea Diarra should be long term established under coach Jose Mourinho to succeed Claude Makelele. Diarra participated in the U -21 Football Championship in 2006 in part in Portugal, where he came into the semifinal with France. He was four times used and got a yellow card.
In the national team he gave on March 24, 2007 against Lithuania his debut. In the European Championship finals in 2008, he belonged to the French squad but has been used in any game.
On 22 May 2010 he had due to illness to participate in the football World Cup in South Africa to cancel after he was nominated by Raymond Domenech. Then he wore only one other time in August 2010 - this was his 28th 'A' game - the blue National Dress.
