Lasse Boesen

Lasse Boesen Motzkus [ bo ː sn] ( born September 18, 1979 in Vamdrup ) is a Danish handball player who has been active for many years in the Danish national team. His game position is the left rear area.

Career

He began his career at KIF Kolding in his home town of Kolding. From 2003 to 2006 he played at the top Spanish club SDC San Antonio in Pamplona, with whom he 2005 the Spanish Championship and 2004 won the European Cup Winners' Cup; He also drew in 2003 and 2006 to the final of the EHF Champions League. For the season 2006/ 07 he returned to his original club. In the 2007 /08 season he played in the Handball - Bundesliga TBV Lemgo. There he was given a one year contract. For the 2008/09 season he signed a three-year contract with the SG Flensburg -Handewitt. After the expiration of this contract, he returned to his hometown club back to Kolding.

Lasse Boesen has played 159 internationals for Denmark. At the 2008 European Championships in Norway, he was European champion. At the World Cup in Germany in 2007, he won the bronze medal with his team. In summer 2012, he participated in the Olympic Games in London. After switching off in the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games, he said the withdrawal from the national team.

Lasse Boesen is married to the former handball player Lene Motzkus. His father Jens earned as a handball functionary of KIF Kolding a high level of awareness. His sister Mia plays also successful handball.
