Last of the Living is a New Zealand low-budget horror movie with elements of comedy and splatter film from Logan McMillian from the year 2008. Postapocalyptic staging is McMillians first full-length feature film, based on one written by him and starring Ashleigh Southam history. For this film was responsible McMillian further for the script, the interface as well as for production.
The German release date was June 18, 2009, although the film was available as Leihversion already since 20 May 2009.
Action
In a bleak future scenario, an unknown, deadly virus gathers large parts of the population then. The infected return as revenants back - as so-called zombies - and transmit the disease by biting on the survivors, who in turn mutate and people hunt.
The three friends Morgan, Ash, and Johnny live a comfortable life and consider themselves completely alone in the world. Your drab everyday life enriching it with carousing and occasional change of residence as well as by small trips to the deserted shopping malls. Inside they come sometimes to small groups of undead who fight primarily the narcissist Morgan and the musician Johnny. Ash on the other hand is a more restrained accountant.
One day they meet in an abandoned church on the young pilot and scientist Stef and her father, an Infected, whose Verwandelung is yet to come. The doomed handed his daughter a vial with a blood test that could save humanity, if it were possible to transfer the sample to a team of scientists on a barrier island. Shortly thereafter, the House of God is being overrun by creatures. However, the three friends and the researcher escape the monsters.
On the way the daring beauty persuaded the trio to help her with preparations for obtaining a remedy. During a stopover Johnny is attacked, infected and killed. Stef is also bitten, nevertheless it later flies Morgan and Ash by Stewart Iceland. Still in the air is in the meantime a zombie mutated pilot "disposed of".
