László Jeney

László Jeney (* May 30, 1923 in Budapest, † April 24, 2006 in Budapest) was a Hungarian water polo player.

László Jeney played as a goalkeeper 64 internationals for Hungary. He was with the Hungarian water polo team in 1952 and 1956 Olympic champion. In 1948, he was Olympic silver medalist at the Games and in 1960 he won bronze. 1954 and 1958 Jeney became European Champion with the Hungarian team.

After 1956 the Hungarian national uprising was brutally suppressed, Jeney among the six players who returned to the Olympics in 1956 immediately after Hungary. In 1958 he was again but already a member of the Hungarian team.
