Lathyrus sphaericus

The Kugelsamige pea ( Lathyrus sphaericus ) is an annual plant of the genus of grass pea ( Lathyrus ).

Description

The plant grows up to 50 cm high. It contributes approximately between mid-April and June brick-red, usually solitary standing 7 to 13 mm long flowers, which is why it is also called Brick-red pea. The flower stalk is divided into two parts. It is shorter than the blade, and bears approximately at or above the center of a 5 to 20 mm long ruler ( acicular ), leaves. Occurrence

The pea grows mainly on dry grass, in bushes and on slopes, but also in ruderal. It comes in the Mediterranean, North Africa and spread across the Middle East to India before. In the Baltic region, there are individual occurrences, in California, she was naturalized.
