Latino Orsini

Latino Orsini (* 1411 in Rome; † August 11, 1477 ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

Orsini was in 1438 Bishop of Conza in Italy, a year later Archbishop of Trani. Pope Nicholas V elevated him to cardinal on December 4, 1448. 1454 made ​​him the Pope Archbishop of Bari and under the regency Paul II he was legate for the brands. Under Sixtus IV, he was papal Camerlengo. From 1472 he also served as Archbishop of Taranto. In the war against the Ottoman Empire, he was commander in chief of the fleet.
