Latisana

Latisana is a town with 13,841 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli- Venezia Giulia.

Geographical Location

Latisana is located about 20 km inland of the beach cities Lignano Sabbiadoro and Bibione directly off the A4 highway between Venice and Trieste. Latisana has its own motorway exit of the A 4 From here the highway SS 354 leads to Lignano Sabbiadoro. Latisana lies on the River Tagliamento, Friuli -Venezia Giulia separates from Veneto. The Venetian neighboring town of San Michele al Tagliamento is just across the river from Latisana.

The neighboring municipalities are Lignano Sabbiadoro, Marano, Palazzolo dello Stella, Precenicco, Ronchis and San Michele al Tagliamento ( VE).
