The Latrop rises on the northwest slope of the main ridge of the southwestern Winterberg Highlands, just over 3 km west of the Albrecht mountain and 800 m northwest of the small village of jump, and flows after a run in a northwesterly direction over the same district Latrop and the flow around the right side, 668 m high massif the height of Schmallenberg in the district finally Fleckenberg from the left in the Lenne.
