Latvian National Museum of Art

The Latvian National Art Museum ( Latvijas Nacionalais mākslas muzejs ) is a museum in the Latvian capital Riga.

It is located at Esplanade Park east of the old town in a building of 1905, built by architect Wilhelm Neumann has designed.

The museum houses the most important collection of Latvian art, including paintings by Vilhelms Purvītis and Janis Rozentāls. Overall, the museum has about 52,000 works of Latvian, Baltic and Russian art from the mid -18th century to today.
