Latvian National Theatre

The Latvian National Theatre ( Latvijas Nacionalais Teatris ) is a theater in the Latvian capital Riga.

It was founded in 1919, founded a year after the independence of Latvia. On the two stages ( large hall with 850 seats) pieces Latvian and northern European authors are listed mainly. The building dates from 1902 and until 1917 housed the Russian theater.
